Credo

  • PAWS’ core function is to prevent cruelty to animals through proactive and reactive work.
  • We are a pro-life organisation, meaning that we do everything in our power, medically, physically, socially & emotionally, before considering euthanasia.
  • We acknowledge that euthanasia is not an action to be taken lightly as all animals have the right to life, and there is never a justification in taking a life.
  • We strive to work with the community to enhance the relationship between human and animal.
  • We acknowledge that every animal must be assessed individually and treated with love and respect.
  • Our organisation has been created to sustain the welfare of animals and in doing so we will do whatever necessary to rescue, re-home and rehabilitate the animals that have been forgotten in our community.
  • We educate and offer assistance before confiscating any animal.

Jessie is a sweet Staffie cross who is very strong, alert and impulsive. She is responding nicely to training and we think she'll be a great pet for a cat-free family. She does well with the bigger dogs at PAWS. Medium sized. Free flight with CemAir if required. PAWS 083 287 9917

Today a litter of 10 puppies were found dumped right next to the "road/driveway" into PAWS. Thank you to the truck driver who brought them to our attention. Tracy took them straight to a vet where six were found to be too ill to survive and their suffering was ended.
Why did the dumper not bring the pups in to PAWS?
Please people, no matter what your reason is for getting rid of pets, we are here to help them. We will advise and assist so that suffering, spread of disease and cruelty are avoided.
Never, ever, dump your pets!
