Welcome to Plett Animal Welfare Service (PAWS)

Welcome! Here at PAWS we provide care for animals in impoverished communities in the Greater Plettenberg Bay Area.

PAWS is a registered non-profit organisation and deals with emergency call-outs of lost and found animals and abuse reports.

We’re run by volunteers and provide basic animal health care (dipping and deworming), mass Spay Days (free spaying and neutering with volunteering vets in attendance), kennelling and re-homing of abandoned or stray animals, and animal care education in the Greater Plettenberg Bay Area.

PAWS is involved in a number of regular fundraising efforts for the animals of Plettenberg Bay and surrounding areas.

Check out our Events page to see what’s coming up. If you would like to get involved, take a look at our Fundraising page here.

The animals of PAWS are always in need of extra assistance and, with the opening of our dedicated PAWS kennels, there are a number of opportunities for those wishing to volunteer.

Take a look at our Volunteering page for more information and to enquire.

Animal Adoption in South Africa

Rehoming and adoptions are a huge part of the work we do here at PAWS, and we’ve become experts in matchmaking owners to their new pets.

Meet your new best furry friend here on our Adoption page!
